Job Description

Power Industry Support, LLC is actively recruiting an Operations Manager for the Dillard Energy Complex located in Dillard, OR. The facility is a 50 NMW stoker fired biomass cogen power plant with 3 boilers and 5 turbines.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a solid background in and exposure to solid fuel power plant operations and maintenance.

Salary Range:  Starting $145K

The hiring company does not provide sponsorship at this time.

Purpose

This leadership role focuses on business objectives, plant profitability and operational excellence, while safely producing quality wood products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant is operating within Roseburg’s safety values
  • Ensure compliance with all standards and programs (safety, environmental, quality, maintenance and manufacturing policies and procedures) within area of responsibility
  • Responsible for building leadership talent to support retention and continuous staff development
  • Responsible for creating and leading a workplace culture consistent with Roseburg values
  • Accountability for meeting operating and business objectives
  • Responsible for driving site profitability and productivity through efficient and effective operating programs and processes
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively at all levels of the organization
  • Assure cross functional teamwork
  • Champion company core values
  • Perform other duties as needed

 Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of manufacturing supervisory work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
  • Demonstrated success providing leadership and establishing a value-based workplace culture
  • Evidenced work history of delivering results in safety, culture, and profits
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, manufacturing, production or related field
